A Record

Long time since I last blogged. Not like much have happened. The usual days of leisure and lazing around at home are here.

7/10
The day before my birthday.

Nothing grandeur for my birthday, just a mini gathering at my house. Though I craved one but I believed a couple of us simply exhausted our resource. Nonetheless simplicity rules too. I am just happy that my peeps took out time and turned up at my house. We chatted, some used my com for games, for internet. We played poker and mahjong alongside our tasty treat of pizza courtesy of Pizza Hut and our pockets.

At midnight they brought out the cake, and my cousin lead the hasty but appreciated birthday song. Somehow I feel all awkward with ppl singing the birthday song to me but at the same time I am rather touched watching all my frens there.

Awww… I sound like someone who gonna depart the world the next day. Lol. Anyway we ended the day late with my cousin and hy sending everybody home taking my dad’s van.

7/11
Eat, sleep, play. Nice and sweet.

Days after
I get to experience something that I have nv enjoyed before.

That is catching a movie in the wild. All thanks to Shiling that i got this chance. If not i would not usually fork out that kind of money for a movie that i have seen before. Okay. Dun over compliment her. :p

She got the tickets thr some contest and sought me for 2 days of catching Infernal Affairs 1-3 at Fort Canning Green.

It was bad of me to have kept her waiting for the first day becoz of lanning out with my khakis. It seems i am getting habitually late for meetings. Not just with her. I was nv used to be like that. I was always punctual until sometimes later it doesnt pay for be punctual. Now it is a habit which i will rid of it when, heh, when i get a gf. Lol!

We scouted out the place not knowing where was it but found it eventually without much effort. But we had instead took a longer path up. We learnt it the hard way only to repeat it the very next day when we went for day2 screening. However that was all becoz i am stucked at the traffic at dhoby ghaut on day2 and she happens to be still in the mrt station so she came from city hall to meet me up. We ended taking the longer and much undesired path up to Fort Canning Green again.

The weather was suitably cool on both days with slight drizzling. The rain drops would have felt like "airdrops" from our "friendly" feathered friends. But we kept ourselves dry and comfy under a sheltered stage with chairs and beer station behind while couples laid with their counterparts on the lush greenies.

We finished the show late but managed to catch the last North-South train. Just as well, since our homes laid on the stations down.

Just a record.

-==I CANT TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My sis is driving me nuts. I cant take it and WANNA RANT abt this.

Wtf man. Is she even humane?

How can she leave her stuff strewn all over the place when it invariably messed up the place? Insult to injury. She can refuse to help tidy the place when she thinks its not her things that mess the place up. How can anyone behave like that? Thats so highly abnormal considering my bro and I prioritise cleanliness and the gracefulness of a tidy environment.

Thats truly upsetting. Despite all the attempts at enlightening her, she will still persist in her deluding ways. Despite all the contempt thrown at her, she will still smile. Despite repetitive beatings, she will still stubbornly refused to change.

Now i am at my wits end with this lady. A 13yr old should at least possess some form of sensitivity to others' feelings and COMMON SENSE. How can one be without common sense? How could one do stupid things like hammering her shoes on the grounds of the living room all knowingly that will dirty the house?

How can she gloat at her bro's despair over her inconsiderate behaviour? How can she sneer when we are preaching to her nicely? Considering that she KNOWS that is wrong of her to do that!!!!!!!

Whats wrong with her? What the hell is up with this person?

TRULY INFURIATING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-==A Big Day with some webs.

Last sat, I celebrated my best bud, HY's bday together with JL, alvin, bryan, rachel, huimin, jeff and soonwei.

Bryan had mentioned that it was a day to be remembered coz it was the first time HY ever drove us around in a car. Thats rented of coz but nonetheless still memorable. We had not much of a plan initially. Just knew we gonna dine at suntec and catch Spiderman 2 after.

We were then, spoilt for choice. With an entire basement of restaurants, we couldn’t make up our mind. We then decided to check on the price of the buffet steamboat at lvl1. Turns out to be too exquisite for all of us so we took a trip back to the basement. With my cousin refusing to walk, we simply settled for N.Y.D.C

It is a rather trendy-styled restaurant with some New York teen culture. An excellent place for us! While the wait was almost unbearable, we started some chit-chat. There was some humour exchanged and talk of Alvin being a narcissistic “flasher”(ignorance is bliss).

Whilst all that, a couple of us peeked at the menu outside the restaurant and decided what will gonna be our orders. A fine service, the waiter offered to take our orders so we could have our food the moment we are seated.

Coincidently, the nine-seats table became available while we were fussing over the menus. We were finally seated and gave our orders after some serious contemplation. We had our filled of New York cuisines and with some time, we headed for the sky garden.

A rather breathtaking and comforting nite view greeted us. Filled with inspiration, we took a couple of photos before rushing down for the movie.

Knew it! It is on the second row. We bought our tickets just hrs before the showtime. Its on the extreme ends, separated as well. Despite all that, Spiderman 2 is a great movie. Intriguing insight on the spidey story on Andi’s blog. Rumors flew that Spiderman 3 will only be out on 2006 or 2007. The anticipation dun fits the time frame. Sadly we just got to wait.

That’s quite all for the day of enjoyment. We have HY drove the gers and some who are inconveniently located back home. Jeff, Alvin and me wanted to take the train but turns out the last train had took off. Lost, we sat outside marina. The idea of NR slipped our minds until someone popped it.

The nearest stop is at Esplanade so we took a walk there. We caught bryan getting into a cab and bade him goodbye. With my insistence of not taking a SBS bus (I hate them), me and Alvin left Jeff for NR8 while we could have taken 174M.

With all that walking and air-con all day, my legs developed slight rheumatism pains. I am getting old I am sure. Haha.

That’s it folks.
